We come to Florida at the Sand Pebble in Treasure Island every March and have never failed
to visit your place in all the years we have been coming there. We find your place very
unique and purchase many items before we leave, including t shirts, calendars, etc. My
daughter even shared her white russion drink with one of your cats last year at the bar.

We have driven by Sloppy John's on vacation 2 times. This last week we were able to stop
in. What an awesome place. It has such character. And the bartender was soooo friendly.
Loved the cats, too. I'm telling everybody I know about the place and hope they can stop

Well, it's about two years now since we visited you but thanks to the regular newsletters
and the great web site, we keep up to date with everything that's going on. We've just
returned from a couple of weeks in Texas - Houston, Austin and San Antonio and all points
in between - but there was nothing to compare with Sloppy John's!!!
Hey, isn't it about time Corporate America found a sense of humour? Don't they realise
that, as well as being a bit of fun, the Buttwiser Ts were also a compliment to their

Hi guys, An uncle of my wife took us to Mahuffers while on vacation in Florida back in
1988. I loved it. There was some guy in there that evening playing guitar and singing. I
requested some John Prine songs, which he obliged. We sang a few songs together and then
some guy came in that looked like Hulk Hogan except about 100 pounds lighter. He had a
saxaphone with him and he got up and played too. I had a ball.

We are just not used to this kind of weather. It goes from "really really cold"

I told you a year ago that my husband wouldn't stop at Mahuffer's cause he thought the
building was falling down and you were out of business. After I showed him you're fantasic
websight he vowed it was on ours list to go to the next time we got to Florida. Well we
made it down in March and the day before we came to Indian Shores we had a family
emergency back in Indiana and had to get home. Can you believe this crap? I love getting
your e-page each month and I think maybe he's a jinx. I'd probably have alot more fun if I

Hope this finds all well with you and yours. My brother Joe said to tell you hello. He was
here to visit yesterday. Recently he had the other foot almost totally amputated due to
his diabetic condition but seems to be doing fine thus far. Thank God!
Me, I'm still kicking but having a little eye problem and am having a L. eye lens implant
on 6/11 andR. eye will be done 7/02. Other than that I guess I'll live a while longer. Joe
had the implants done in 1991.
I assume you still have a dog being the animal lover you always were, right? We have a
gorgeous little Pomeranian named "Muffin" and there is no dog on earth spoiled
any worse than our baby. We both love her so much as she does us. She is a beige and white
combination in color and absolutely gorgeous. She weighs about 7#. I really need to put
her on a diet along with the two of us!!!!!
Patrick is coming here I believe in July or August to visit Mary Lynn. He calls my
daughter pretty often and when they come this way to visit her mother in Indiana he plans
to stop for a couple days to visit my daughter who bought a mobile up the road from us. I
get to see her more often now. We usually spend at least a day a week running, eating, and
spending money. In fact, that's where I've been all day.
Well, I just wanted to touch base with an old friend and I hope all is going really well
with you and yours. By the way, how is your daughter doing?

Yes, I have to admit this is the "funnest" place in Florida. I was there with

Couldn't pass up the opportunity to say "hello" to the worst but the best
character on the beach.
Your monthly newsletter is very much enjoyed, reminds me of the "good old days"
when we lived there and attended those go-to-hell parties.
Congratulations on your birthday and you anniversary. I have a ways to go to catch you (in
both cases), ha, ha.
My daughter lives up the road from us now and I like having her near. Pat keeps in touch
with her and is planning to visit her I believe in July. Would you believe my baby will be
the big "50" in June? Where did the time go old friend?????
My brother Joe called today and he is very sick with bronchitis and can't seem to kick it.
His wife just got home a couple days ago from the hospital; she started with bronchitis
and ended up with pneumonia.
I always let Joe know when I hear from Mahuffers.
Keep the funnies coming, I sure enjoy them.
